7. RETRANSMITTED (GVAR) DATA
Raw imager and sounder data are transmitted to the Command and Data Acquisition
Station (CDA) at Wallops, VA, continuously in real time. Raw imager data are in
10-bit words, raw sounder data in 13-bit words. This section describes the
subsequent data flow at the CDA culminating in the retransmission of processed
data to users in the GVAR data stream.
