southeastern U.S.
The majority of visible smoke plumes were light-density with the exception
of two moderate to heavy density plumes in the Florida panhandle that
were moving north-northwest.
Northwest U.S....
Fires in Washington and Oregon were producing light density smoke plumes
that were moving southeast. Northern and central California was covered
by light density smoke from numerous fires that extended both north
and south.
Mexico/Central America/Gulf of Mexico...
A large mass of thin density smoke from ongoing seasonal burning
in Mexico and Central America was seen covering much of southern and
eastern Mexico, Central America, and off the southern coast of Mexico
and Central America. The smoke was also being transported north towards
the coast of southeastern Texas and southern Louisiana.
