THROUGH 1920Z September 22, 2021
SMOKE:
California/Nevada into Utah...
A large area of smoke was observed emanating primarily from two large
fire complexes in east-central California. The smoke moved around in all
directions from the source before expanding and moving to the northeast,
covering the majority of the state Utah and reaching into the western
side of Utah and southernmost corner of Idaho. Near the fire complexes,
heavy smoke was observed extending a few miles in all directions. Medium
density smoke encompassed much of Nevada and the California border. Light
density smoke extend throughout western Utah, southern Idaho, most of
Nevada and as far west as Bakersfield nearing Los Angeles and Oxnard.
