SMOKE:
South Florida…
Agricultural burning activity was observed around the Lake Okeechobee
region of South Florida. Light density smoke plumbs were observed from
the fires progressing to the northeast.
Central and southeast CONUS…
Fire activity across the central CONUS was observed producing scattered
smoke plumes. A vast majority were light and were moving off toward the
north or north-northwest, with smoke from fires east of the Mississippi
River moving south.
California…
Two fires were observed emitting smoke in central California. One fire
in the southern Sierras was producing light to moderate smoke in a thin
plume that moved northwest. The other one was located in the coastal range
between the southern San Joaquin Valley and the Pacific coast. This
fire was producing moderate smoke which was moving off toward the east.
